Born April 29, 1926 in Conifer, NY, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Melvina (Sulia) Agnew.
Mrs. Austin was a former member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Buchanan Valley, where she enjoyed helping with the church picnic for many years.
She was employed at a number of local businesses, including Dal-Tile, Pfaltzgraff, Duffy Mott's and most recently, Knouse Foods.
Surviving are two sons, Anthony C. Austin and wife Linda of Gardners, and Donald S. Austin, Jr. and wife Debra of Carlisle; her daughter, Annette Austin Bream Dragas of Carlisle; two brothers, Edward Agnew and wife Jane, and Elmer Agnew, both of Morrisonville, NY, her sister, Elizabeth Carter of Saranac, NY; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Charles Agnew; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
