"Elsie Mae Barker Johnson, age 75, of Austin, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 1998. Elsie worked with the State Comptroller's office for 22 years, retiring in 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Annie Barker; brothers, Owen, Ray and Paul Barker; and husbands, Alfred Menn and Thurston Johnson. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Johnson of Austin, Larry Johnson and wife, Sylvia, of Austin, and Tommy Johnson and wife, Kim, of Dripping Springs, six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Horace Barker, of Lockhart, Roy Barker and wife, of Austin, Carl Barker and wife, of Austin, Hubert Barker and wife, of Burnet; sisters, Louise Baker, of Ketchum, Oklahoma, and Betty Sue Gresak and husband, of Buckholtz, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews And friends...."
