Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Mae Jordan, 69, a resident of Donley County for 39 years were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. H.M. Hutchinson, pastor, and Rev. Joe Moore of Amarillo, officiating. Interment was in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jordan died Monday morning, November 4, in Adair Hospital after a short illness. She was born December 3, 1898 at Fordyce, Arkansas and married William Lee Jordan December 31, 1916. She moved to Donley County in 1929 and into Clarendon in 1962. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Clarendon Rebekah Lodge, and Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Coral Lee Robertson of Pampa, Mrs. Geraldine Norton of Bakersfield, California; two sons, Billy Jack Jordan and Perry Jordan both of Amarillo; one sister, Mrs. Jim Wylie of Murfreesboro, Ark.; two brothers, W. Neil Wood of Jasper, Texas and Carrol Wood of Pine Bluff, Ark.; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Bearers were Lamar Aten, J.B. Lane, Wes Knorpp, Bob Hay, Lowell Hall, and Alvin Landers.
