Nellie Hilda Judson Gore Wells, 87, of Taylorsville, NC, formerly of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 at 2:05 a.m. at Carolina House of Lexington, NC.
She was born July 13, 1922 in Culpeper, VA of the late Claude Hunter Gore and Annie Frances Compton Gore.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by seven brothers, William Anthony Gore, Robert Claude Gore, Hugh Hunter Gore, Thomas Levitus Gore, Edgar Scott Gore, Charles Dallas Gore and Virgil Lee Gore; six sisters, Bertha Frances Hudson, Maude Alice Leathers, Elizabeth Ada Rumsey, Anna Mae Crawford, Hazel Katreen Taylor and Mary Virginia Downey, along with her husband, Charles Henry Wells and her son, Lynn Ernest Wells.
Survivors include her son, Charles Hunter Wells and wife, Genevieve Ann Wells of Taylorsville, NC; daughter-in-law, Jane Wells of Silver Spring, MD; two grandsons, Charles Paul Wells and wife, Shirley of Winston-Salem, NC and
Donald Scott Wells and wife, Jane of Bowie, MD; five granddaughters, Ann Marie Wells Hucks and husband, Mark, Tracey Lynn Wise and husband, Dave, Kelly Marie Wells, Kimberly Ballejo and Ashley Magram. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren along with a number of nieces, nephews and friends. She will be laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville, MD beside her husband.
