Harriett Verkuyl DiMuccio went to be with Jesus, on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Blackduck.
The mother of Beverly Forbush, Rae Birch, Charlene Rosskopf, and sister of Richard Ellis, she was born on September 3, 1916 in Hanford, California to Myrtle and Corey Verkuyl. She grew up in Hanford and lived her adult life in several towns in California returning to Hanford a widow. The last 12 years of her life, she spent in Minnesota with her daughter, Rae.
Harriett loved the snow, the leaves in the fall, flowers in gardens, Dairy Queen ice cream, and most of all, babies. She was an avid reader and read the Bible from cover to cover five times in her last years.
She will be greatly missed by her three daughters, her brother, her 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Heritage House of Blackduck and the staff of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home for all their loving care. The family appreciates all the care and concern that they have shown the 12 years she has been living in Minnesota.
