After her graduation, she was employed as a bookkeeper in the office of the Bell Telephone Company in Stafford and later in Dodge City, Kansas after moving to that city with her parents in 1916.
She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church in Stafford in 1909 and was charter member and officer of the Standard Bearers and a teacher in the Sunday School.
She married Dec. 1, 1917 at the home of her parents in Dodge City, Kansas to Elbie Fred Soice.
Gladys died in childbirth and was buried in the Wesley plot in Stafford Cemetery.
