OBITUARY:
Orpha Amend Taken In Death
Mrs. Ira Amend, a resident of the Stafford community for most of her life, passed away this, Thursday, morning in a Cunningham rest home where she had been a patient for the past five years.
Born at Carso, Mo. Oct 30, 1884 she was a member of the Stafford Christian church and had been an active member of the church and in community affairs until suffering a stroke in 1950. After several years in the Stafford hospital and at home she moved to the rest
home permanently. She had been in poor health since suffering the stroke.
Memorial services will be conducted by Brother Emerson Gillett at Peacock & Soice chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment in the Stafford Cemetery.
