Jack was the son of Thaddeus Austin (9-10-1869/8-3-1921)and Lela Jane Dasher Griner (b. 1868). They married in 1891 and both were born in Georgia. Census records show them as residence of Effingham County Georgia, in 1900 and 1910. Thaddeus died in Chatham County Ga., and was the son of Benjamin (1834-1912) and Jane Rebecca Heidt (1830-1890). They married in Bullock Co. Ga.
He was married to Ruby White on May 5, 1926, daughter of John Thomas and Mary Anna Lou Miller White.
