his home near Gentry, at the age of seventy seven years and nine months. He
joined the M. E. Church at the Old Pleasant Grove at the age of fifteen
years and had lived a devoted Christian life since.
He was married to Virginia Frances Robinson, September 11, 1880 and to this
union eight children were born, four of whom survive him, O. D. Huddleston,
Mamie Huddleston, Jane Huddleston and Adavil Huddleston.
His death though not unexpected, brought sorrow and grief to the hearts of
his many friends and relatives for he was a life long resident of the Gentry
community and was fondly known as "Uncle Roe" by old and young.
He lived a life of simple honesty, which should be an example for those who
follow him.
