Charles John Henry Abbott, local interior decorator of 1504 North Water Street, died today at 750am in the Decatur and Macon County hospital. He had been ill about two weeks.

He was born May 1, 1870 in Shaskay, Hennepin, Minnesota. He married Lulu May Curry March of 1895, in Decatur. Mr. Abbott was a charter member of the painters and paperhangers union, Local 288.

Members of the union will attend the funeral services and are requested to be at Morans funeral home at 115 pm Saturday.

Mr. Abbott leaves five sons and daughters: Alma Lulu Abbott. Charles Curry Abbott, Lillian A. Carter, and Harold Abbott, all of Decatur, and Lucille A. Graybill of Quincy. There are five grandchildren. He also leaves his sister. Miss Myrtle Abbott of Decatur.

Funeral services will be held at 130 pm Saturday in the Moran chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
