Son of John Phillip Minnix and Catherine Newton.
Catherine Newton Minnix's DOB, DOD and burial are unknown, however her ancestry goes back in Virginia to William Newton III to Major William Newton to William Newton Sr. to John Newton Jr. 1657-1699 who immigrated from England and married Mary Allerton who was the daughter of Isaac Allerton Jr. His father Isaac Allerton Sr. came over on The Mayflower and was the 5th signer of the Compact.
