In Memory
Author: Kim Brandimore

As we prepare ourselves to go into the future, we must pause to look again at our past-remembering loved ones we have lost, memories in our hearts that are sure to last.............

Nathan Oxley
One sweet-faced little boy with a heart of gold; warm brown eyes, lit from within, held a curious and ever-learning gaze.

He gave so freely for one so young,
never hesitating to lend a hand-
his steady grin cheered the saddest heart

He loved dinosaurs and magnets, and
animals, all part of a six year old's world;
he welcomed any challenge with open arms.

One fateful spring, he left us-
we were young and did not understand-
not knowing the meaning of forever.

we waited for his return to us -
as we grew we came to understand,
the sweet boy we loved would not return.

To us he will always be young,
kept innocent in our fondest memories-
held close in our hearts throughout life.

We will never forget you, Nathan.
