Petition of Lillie Barton
For Letters of Guardianship
To the Hon. Samuel P. Hatt Judge of the probate court of LaSalle County:
The Petition of the undersigned, Lillie B Barton [sic] respectfully represents that she is a minor, aged 15 years, on the 24th day of September A. D. 1891; that Your Petitioner is resident of this County ; that she has no father living, or other legal guardian residing in this State ; that she was taken into the family of Gilbert Barton and Olive A. Barton some thirteen years ago, and has lived and resided with them ever since. That Gilbert Barton departed this life some time in January last. That before he died he deeded to your petitioner the north half of out Lot No. four in the Village of Lostant in said La Salle County Illinois. Your petitioner further states that there is a dwelling house barn and out buildings situate on said Lot & that the same is rented, and it will be necessary to have some one appointed to look after the same and collect the rents arising therefrom & she therefore requests the appointment of Charles McShane her Guardian
