Charles A. Nicosia, 79
METHUEN — Charles A. Nicosia, 79, of Methuen, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born in Lawrence, son of Francesco and Antoinetta (Piazza) Nicosia, Charles was a graduate of Johnson High School with the class of 1948. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.
For 20 years, he was a police officer in the Town of North Andover. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, working on cars and was a "jack of all trades" and had a heart of gold and loved to help people.
He is survived by his siblings, Sam Nicosia of California, Natalie Nicosia of Methuen; his twin, Yolanda Potter of California, Richard Nicosia of Methuen; and sister-in-law, Claire Nicosia of Nashua, N.H. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters
