NELEY HOBGOOD
Funeral services were held June 23 for Mrs. Neley Belle Hobgood, 89, mother of Pauline Broaddrick, Davis. Rev. Finis Steelman officiated at the graveside services. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with arrangements by Clagg Funeral Home.
Born December 1, 1890, she had lived in Sulphur from 1936 until 1966. She moved to Oregon for several years then lived in Oklahoma City for the past six years. She married Benjamin G. Hobgood, Jan. 17, 1904 at Wynnewood. He preceded her in death March 24, 1966.
Survivors include seven daughters, Della Kazar, Modesto, Calif., Mittie Karas, Los Angeles, Calif., Maurene Pickens, Lindsay, Brunetta Farley, Willie Mae Aynes, and Jeri Calame all of Oklahoma City and Pauline Broaddrick, Davis; two sons, Russell Hobgood, Anadarko, and Bill Hobgood, Portland, Oregon; two brothers, George Sweeten, Davis, and Eccart Sweeten, Deming, N.M.; one sister, Sybil Walker, Sulphur; 31 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter.
