He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ginger; son and wife, Drs. Brian and Sabrina Gill of Omaha, NE; daughter, Kristin Storer, and husband, David of Austin, Texas. He is Grandaddy to Lleyton and Graham Gill.
Also surviving are a sister, Betty Jean Couch and husband, David; and brother, Robert.
James graduated from Beeville High School as well as Texas A&M University, Kingsville with BS and Masters degrees. He is also a graduate of Stonier School of Banking. His business career included positions in Victoria and Austin and various assignments as a Project Manager. Most recently he was associated with Network Funding in Austin. His hobbies included dove and pheasant hunting, skeet shooting, and traveling.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 29th at First Baptist Church, Round Rock. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Cemetery. Donations may be made to DonateLife.net, Texas Baptist Children's Home, First Baptist Church Round Rock or donor's choice.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Drs. and nurses of University Hospital, San Antonio, for the exceptional care James received.
