CAYUGA, IND-Mrs. Lillie Irene Brown, 88, of Cayuga, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday (January 13, 1974) at Vermillion County Hospital. She had been a patient for four days.
She was born Oct. 16, 1885, in Perrysville, the daughter of Harrison and Laura Belle Orr Jones. She married Harvey J. Brown Jan. 4, 1905, and he died Oct. 10, 1962.
Survivors include a son, Russell Brown of Georgetown Route 1; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Stranc of Broadview and Mrs. Orville (Wilma) Shrout of White Springs, Fla; six grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great-children, several nieces and nephews; and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Jourdonnois of Yuma, Ariz.
She was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church, Royal Neighbors of America, and Lowes Chapel Ladies Aid.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel in Danville. The Rev. J.T. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Eugene Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
