Terah E. Ahart, 89, died July 10, 1998, at the St. Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born May 10, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Grimes and Mary Ann Brumley Grimes.
She was a retired store clerk.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bryant Duckworth, two daughters, Mary Sue Duckworth and Betty Jean Duckworth and one brother, Monte Grimes.
Survivors include one son, Harvey Ross Duckworth of Hayti, Mo., three daughters, June Hawkins Kent of Greensboro, N.C., Helen Sharp of Hayti, Mo. and Barbara McCall of Caruthersville, Mo.; three sisters, Gladys Grimes of Caruthersville, Mo., Imogene Neff of Raleigh, N.C. and Betty Jo Jones of Hardy, Ark., eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchldren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held July 13, 1998 at 1 p.m. at the Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home with Rev. Jessie Morries officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bradshaw-Osburn Funeral Home was in charge of services.
