The Sac Sun - Thursday , November 18th, 1943 - Funeral services for Mrs Myrtle Bugbee, who passed away last Wednesday evening were held from her home at 2 on Saturday conducted by Rev Ira D Crewdson at the First Christian church. Burial was made in the Oakland cemetery. Pall bearers were A Ingram, John Wilson, Glen Love, James Corsant, Ralph Carter and George Galbraith.

The following obituary was read at the service: Myrtle Lula Bugbee was born in Fonda, IA on Aug 3, 1876. She was the daughter of John and Louisa Baily. In 1897 she was united in marriage to Wallace Haven of Fonda, IA. To this union was born one child, Uzzrel Edson, who died in infancy. The child's father passed away in 1908.

In 1909 Myrtle married Victor Bugbee of Sac City, IA. He preceded her in death in 1932. Her father and mother, 3 sisters and 3 brothers also preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her loss one brother, 4 nieces and 3 nephews, besides a number of other relatives.

While Mrs Bugbee had been declining in health for a number of months, her critical illness was of only 3 days duration. During this time as upon previous occasions, when contemplating the possibility of the termination of life, she reaffirmed in her Pastor her Christian faith and readiness to face the end of her earthly life unafraid.
