Isaac (Ike) M. GALLOP, JR., 82, a life long resident of Harbinger, died August 25th at 5:55 p.m. in the Albemarle Hospital after being in declining health for some time. Graveside services were held August 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the Powells Point Christian Church Cemetery in Harbinger by Mr. Cecil STYONS. Mr. GALLOP was a retired fisherman and a member of the Powells Point Christian Church. He was the son of the late Ike and Mrs. Bertie Montague GALLOP, SR. and the husband of the late Vergie Moore GALLOP. Mr. GALLOP is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Grace BELANGIA and Mrs. Iona BEALS, both of Harbinger; three sons: Normal Earl GALLOP and Edmond D. GALLOP of Harbinger, and Rev. Pursell D. GALLOP of Columbia; five sisters: Mrs. Edith PARKER of Mamie, Mrs. Pranzie LEWARK, Mrs. Bertie HARRIS, Mrs. Sybil BRICKHOUSE and Mrs. Dorothy OUTLAND, all of Harbinger; two brothers: Ralph GALLOP, SR. of Harbinger and Herbert GALLOP of Norfolk, Va.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
