Loretta J. Appel, 75, of Panama, OK, passed away Thursday, June 03, 2010, in Panama. She was born November 8, 1934, in Hon, AR, to Allen and Hazel (Newman) Fields. She was a homemaker. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James R. Appel, a grandson Cary Allen Brock and one sister Lanel Vincent. Loretta is survived by a son, Larry Didway and wife Raylene, of Panama, OK; two daughters Glenda Phillips and husband Larry, of Rock Port, TX and Nema Bardin-Didway of Austin, TX; two brothers, Tommy Fields and Bobby Fields; two sisters, Louise Jackson and Velma Cardwell; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones. Pallbearers will be Billy Don Caldwell, Earl Caldwell, Greg Gillion, Billy Boy Gillion, Bruce Caldwell and Mike Summers. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 7, 2010, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Painter officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Panama. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
