She is survived by her husband T. T. Haris, three sons, J.E., of Fort Worth; W. B., of Delhi, Oklahoma; and Richard E. of Saint Jo; six daughters, Mrs. R.L. Williams, Mrs. Taylor C. Davs, Mrs. B. L. Williamson, and Mrs. J. G. Spencer of Saint Jo, and Mrs. Jim Riddlesperger of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Mrs. J. Berry Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, all of whom were present at the funeral. She is also survived by four brothers, J. H, Roach of Dallas; J., B. Roach, Saint Jo; W. B. Roach of Tahoka; and S. H. Roach of Holdenville, Oklahoma; and three sisters Mrs. G. W. Stone, Saint Jo; Mrs. Martha Fulton of Conditville, Oklahoma; and Mrs. J. C. Harris of Walters, Oklahoma; also 28 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren survive.
Her maiden name was Laura Dixie Roach, and she was born in Kaufman County, Texas, on February 17, 1863. She moved to Cooke County with her parents in 1866, and they settled on the farm where she was reared, married and brought up her own family , and died. At the age of 15 she joined the Methodist Church, and through all the remaining years of her life she lived a Godly Christ-like life.
On May 25, 1879, she was married to T. T. Harris, and to them were born six sons and six daughters.
A sweet unassuming Christian mother, wife, sister, and friend passed into the great beyond with the death of Mrs. Harris. Other out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Bob Duncan and Mrs. Lois Dennis of Fort Worth; Mrs. J. C. Harris and children of Ryan, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mary Admire and children of Bonita; and Mrs. S. C. Roach and children of Levelland.
