A homemaker and a member of Morrison First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Frances Meachum Cowan and was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wesley Badgett; one daughter, Virginia Badgett; and granddaughter, Cornelia Patton.
She is survived by one daughter, Agnes Jacobs of McMinnville; one son, John P. Badgett of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Angela Haywood of Smyrna and Kimberley Badgett of Murfreesboro; five great-grandchildren, Janice Powers of Marietta, GA., Amanda Badgett and Abagail Badgett-O'Neal of Murfreesboro, Wesley and Reese Haywood, both of Smyrna; and two great grandchildren, Carrie and Katie Powers, both of Marietta, GA.
Services were held Tuesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Lavell Whitehead officiating. Burial followed at Bascom Cemetery.
