Mr. Hawk was born in Muncie and lived here until 1947. At that time he left to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Merlin Cox, at Gravel Lake, Mich., near Lawton, Mich. He retired about six years ago after being employed by the Hemingray Glass Co. and the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. for more than 50 years. He was a. member of the Walnut St. Church and the Masonic Lodge of Muncie.
His only survivor is the daughter. Mrs. Hawk died in 1943, and a son, Kenneth Hawk, died in an Army camp during World War I.
