Florence Augusta Milbradt Griffith was born Feb. 13, 1902,the daughter Amel and Rose Rodaway Milbradt. She was the next to the youngest of 13 children. Her mother became ill when she was 21 and she helped care for her until she died. She married her sweet heart Arthur Raymond Griffith, April 23, 1923. They had 7 children, Marie Griffith Fidler, Arthur Dale Griffith, Ethel Griffith Snickles, Thelma Griffith Tichenor, Voyd Griffith, Agnes Griffith Thompson and Marion James Griffith. She was a great mom and a great cook. Every summer she would have the grandchildren come to spend a week with her during the summer. Sometimes as many as 8 at a time. There were 32 grandchildren. She continued this until she was well into her 70's. She kept every card and letter that anyone sent her. She could crochet beautiful gifts. Sometimes when crocheting she would doze off but never missed a stitch. Her daughter Ethel preceded her in death and that was very hard for her. Florence died April 2, 1993 at the age of 91.
