ST. REGIS: Brenard Ralph "Mac" McElwain, 81, of St. Regis died of natural causes Monday, May 31, at Mineral County Hospital in Superior.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dean L. McElwain; one sister, Elsie J. Dalton; and one brother James McElwain.

Survivors include his wife, Doris, at the family home; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jim Coleman, Sumas, Washington; a sister, Floy Westfall, Loveland, Colorado; a nephew and his wife, Wes and Sally Westfall, Loveland; a grandson, William Lee Sturdevant, of Groton and New London Connecticut, and several other grand-children and great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Mineral County Hospital for their loving and special care of "Mac". Burial will take place at the St. Regis Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are by Garden City Funeral Home and Chapel. (Published in the Missoulian on 3 June 1992)
