Claude Ward, 87, of 210 W. Main St. died at 6 pm Sunday in Lane House Nursing Care Center.
Mr. Ward was a farmer. He was a member of Church of Christ.
He was born Nov. 8, 1906, at Glasgow, Ky., to William Louis and Virgie Mae Poms Ward. On Dec. 8, 1929, he married Wren Sturgeon. She died March 12, 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Orville and Harlan of Crawfordsville; a brother, Jesse Earl Ward of Franklin; a sister, Ada Alvine of Edinburg; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by a son, Bayne, a grandson, a great grandson, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday in Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
