Graveside service for Mary Bean Malone, 92, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Sheats Summerford officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Malone died August 11, 1996, at Decatur General hospital. She was born April 24, 1904 in Hartselle. She is the widow of Harry L. Malone. Mrs. Malone was a member of Central United Methodist Church for 70 years and taught in the church youth department for 17 years, during which she served as superintendent for three years. She was a graduate of Huntingdon College and Florence State Teachers College and taught in the Decatur school system.
She is survived by one niece, Mary A. Rountree Hunter of Decatur; one nephew, Clarke Rountree of Decatur; 11 great nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew.
