BASIL R. SWANN, 72, of Scottown, Ohio died at home on July 12, 2005. He was born June 12, 1933 at Milton, WV. He was a Korean War veteran and retired from the ACF Industries. He was the son of the late Jennings and Vada Minor Swann and the son-in-law of the late Raymond and Margaret Callicoat. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Susan Swann Saunders, and two brothers, Charles Swann and Preston Swann. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Swann; four daughters, Teressa Clark and Allen Scott, Tammy and Fayne Taylor, Debra and Jim Hlusko, Kim and Doug Turner; three sisters, Elsie McComas and Ben Olah, Judy and Ed Bargery and Demia Jarrel; two brothers, Cecil Swann and Calvin Swann; three sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Swann, Minnie Swann and Kathy and Danny Hall; eight grandchildren, Darren and Charles Michael, Tracey and Brian Baumgard, Shannon Smathers, Amanda Roberts, Aaron and Seth Hlusko and Josh Turner; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted by Charles Love at the Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood, Ohio. Funeral services conducted by Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. NO VISITATION. Funeral procession will leave Hall Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, and graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday July 15, 2005. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their kind help during our time of need.
