J. PRESTON SWANN, 61, of Crown City, Ohio, died Wednesday Dec. 3, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 6, 2003, at Hall Funeral Home by the Rev. Mathew Henry. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood, Ohio. Jennings "Preston" Swann was born April 21, 1942, in Ona, W.Va., son of the late Jennings and Vada Minor Swann and son-in-law of the late Charles and Edith Turley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Swann; a sister, Susan Swann Saunders; and great grandchild, Ty Alexander Swann. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Minnie Swann; five sons, Preston "Lee" Swann, Roger Swann and his wife, Ida, James "Jimmy" Swann and wife, Kay, and Charles "Chuck" Swann, all of Crown City, Ohio, and Darren "Scott" Swann and wife, Tammy, of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; three brothers, Basil Swann and wife, Shirley, of Scottown, Ohio, Cecil Swann and wife, Marlene, of Hanging Rock, Ohio, and Calvin Swann of Huntington, WV; three sisters Elsie McComas and Ben Olah of South Point, Ohio, Demia Jarrell of Huntington, W.Va., and Julia "Judy" Bargery and husband, Ed, of South Point, Ohio; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother and sisters-in-law Bernard and Sue Turley, Joyce Watson, Meredith and Sue Turley, Debbie and Hank Paden, Ruth and Forest Warren, and Mary Kay Swann.
