Mrs. Minnie Lenz, 56, a resident of Ellensburg for more than 17 years, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harrell H. Bender, where she had lived for the past year.
Born June 4, 1897 in Moro, Ore., she was married to John Lenz in Ellensburg on November 23, 1918 and moved here in 1936. She had been in failing health for the past three years. Mrs. Lenz was a long-time member of the Rebekah Lodge and Elks Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, John Lenz, Ellensburg; three daughters, Mrs. Harrell Bender and Mrs. George Bender, both of Ellensburg, and Mrs. James A. Martin, Othello; a sister, Mrs. Carol Barnes, Walla Walla; a brother, Carl W. Messinger, Richmond, California; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lenz will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Evenson Chapel. The Rev. Harry T. Sorenson will conduct the services and burial will take place at the IOOF Cemetery.
