Stan was born April 12, 1907, in Georgetown (Seattle), WA and passed away September 9, 1999, in Tacoma. He grew up in Milton, the oldest of six boys, and attended Fife High School. He retired from PennSalt Chemical (Elf Atochem) as a maintenance foreman in 1970, after 38 years of service. During this time he also owned Hopkins Trailer Shop which manufactured boat and utility trailers as well as truck canopies for the USAF. Hunting trips to Alaska and Montana provided wonderful memories and striking pictures as well as many memorable trips, both in their motorhome and by plane. After retirement they enjoyed many years spent with the Amaranth Lodge, Destiny Court, where he became Grand Royal Patron, traveling through the northwestern states.

Survivors include his children Janice Farning (Terry), Gary Hopkins (Toni); grandchildren, Steve Turner, Janine Turner-Metrician (Lee), Mark Hopkins (Rachel), David Hopkins and Greg Hopkins; brothers, Gordon Hopkins, of Mercer Island, Harrold Hopkins (Margaret) of Spokane, and Harry Hopkins (Connie) of Shelton; and several nieces and nephews.
