Margie Fay Tilton, daughter of John and Dulcie Ely Willis, was born April 13, 1922 in Republic County, Kansas, and died January 11, 2000 at the Granbury Care Center, Granbury, Texas, at the age of 77 years.
She received her education in the Belleville Public Schools.
She was united in marriage to LaVern Tilton on April 21, 1940 at Lakeview, Oregon, and to this union one son was born.
They lived in Oregon and California. She worked for the J.C. Penny Company in Porterville, California for 15 years. They moved back to Belleville, Kansas, in 1977 and she moved to Florida in 1997 and then to Texas in 1999.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LaVern Tilton; a brother, Orie Willis, and a sister, Gladys Molzahn.
She is survived by a son, Curtis Tilton of Granbury, Texas; two granddaughters, and two brothers, Harold Willis of Nampa, Idaho and Everett Willis of Belleville, Kansas.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2000 at the Filley Cemetery, Filley, Nebraska, with Rev. Janis Soule officiating. Interment was made in Filley Cemetery, Filley, Nebraska.
