Diana's note June 24, 2019... I was notified by findagrave via email that they had merged info into this memorial that I manage. Before the merge my data Jim Henry's birth date as the stone says but didn't give a death date as the stone didn't have one and I haven't been able to find one. At first I thought that someone had located a death date to enter but after further study I realized that his death date that was merged into his memorial by findagrave is the same day that is on the headstone of his wife Mary's. I contacted a descendant of the Guthrie line that I have shared info with before and he sent the following info taken from his death cert. There was also listed and proven by Jim Henry's daughter in law that there was a second wife of Jim Henry Guthrie after the death of his first wife Mary. She was listed on his death cert. Henry Guthrie - census records are contradictory as to exact names and dates of birth for this family. Vital record and some newspaper copy refer to Jim as Henry, James, Jim and even John. His death cert. lists him as John Henry Guthrie, date of death Aug. 22, 1948 in Madison Co., AL. Born in Tennessee. 83 years old. (This puts him being born closer to 1865/66). Married to Mrs. Ruby Foster (this checks out via his oldest daughter in-law, and they supposedly had a child that died in infancy- she was very young, perhaps 19 when they married around ~1941/42). Father is listed as Morgan Guthrie (also what my grandfather had told me). Mother not listed "u.k." D. Guthrie
