Stephen A. Hopkins, 83, formerly of 1709 Kent St., died Wednesday in a Puyallup nursing home.

Mr. Hopkins was born in Deadwood, S. D., and moved four years ago to Puyallup from Tacoma, where he lived 10 years. He was a retired lumber mill worker.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Cox, of Seattle, Mrs. Frances Busenius, of Longview, Mrs. Betty Peters, of Prince George, B.C., and Mrs. Estella Cannella, of Puyallup; a brother, George, of Fortuna, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
