She was born in Middlebourne, a daughter of the late Samuel Allen and Martha Ada Allen Donley.
Surviving are three sons, Edward Michael Sams of Waverly, Thomas Eugene Sams of Houston, Texas and Larry W. Tallman of Vienna; three daughters, Patsy Lee Black of Okeechobee, Fla., Debra Kay Morgan of Parkersburg and Erica Jill Sams of Davisville; one brother, Paul Donley of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Vaughn M. Williams of Belpre; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Sams; one daughter; six brothers; and two grandchildren.
Services 2 p.m. Sunday, Lambert- Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, the Rev. Karol Bennett officiating. Burial Lubeck Cemetery.
