John Albright, 63, who with Mrs. Albright has been making his home with the James Templeton family in Donnellson, was stricken shortly before noon, Saturday, with a heart attack and died in a few minutes. He was in his usual good health Saturday morning, and his sudden illness and death came as a shock to all.
John J. Albright, son of Charles and Mary Elizabeth Albright, was born June 18, 1869, in the state of Missouri. The family moved to Burlington, Ia., when he was a child. He had lived since in southeastern Iowa.
On May 30, 1895, he was united in marriage with Mary Commons. To this union were born three children, Roland, of West Point, Mrs. Reva Templeton, of Donnellson; and Charles, of Fort Madison.
He is survived by his wife, his three children, seven grandchildren, two brothers, SIlas and Edward, both of Burlington, and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Southerland, also of Burlington, besides many other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Methodist church of Burlington, Iowa.
He died very suddenly on Saturday, April 1, 1933, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Templeton, in Donnellson.
Funeral services were held at the Templeton home in Donnellson at 2 p.m., Monday, April 3, with the Rev. W. Russell Hunter, pastor of the Presbyterian church, in charge. Miss Tannis Ludemann sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross". The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
The body was laid to rest in the West Point cemetery. The following were pallbearers: Al Peterschmidt, Herman Kuhljuergen, Herman Timpe, Fred Timpe, Albert Lang and Ed. Dahms.
