Beatrice A. DeMao, 89, formerly of Arnold, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Harrison Township, following a brief illness. She was born April 19, 1921, in East Deer Township, a daughter of the late Herbert Gornall and Elizabeth (Roberts) Gornall Turner and her stepfather, George Turner.

She was a homemaker who lived most of her life in Arnold and was a member of Janes United Methodist Church, Creighton. Beatrice was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to casinos.

Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis A. McAninich, of Lower Burrell, and Evelyn D. (Eugene) Lawrence, of Natrona Heights, Harrison Township; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen (Cyril) Barch, of Fairfax, Va.; and stepbrother, George (Nancy) Turner, of New Kensington.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip DeMao, 1981; daughter, Merry Carol DeMao; granddaughter, Elizabeth Lawrence; and sister, Hazel Booher.

Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, Tarentum.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home by the Rev. Jeffrey M. Conn, pastor of Meadowlands United Methodist, Fawcett United Methodist and Canonsburg United Methodist Churches.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Arnold.
