Early Life: Marjorie "Marge" was born October 21, 1913, in Loup City, Nebraska, to Myron E. and Alice S. Mills Goddard. Marge rode horseback to school "with a horse that always tried to run away with her." and where she later taught for two years.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On December 21, 1934, she married Floyd Seeger. Later, she sold her small herd of cows for $9 each and they used the money to come to Montana, a state they dearly loved. In 1966, they purchased the Sula Store where she became postmaster for 12 years. She was a charter member of the Sula Women’s Club and Sula Community Church. Marge will be remembered by her smile and pleasant ways, without a bad word spoken about anyone. She loved the mountains and the woods. She enjoyed watching the deer, turkey, moose and all wildlife that would come by her house. She tenderly loved all of her family and most of all, loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. Marjorie Fern "Marge" Goddard Seeger passed away of natural causes Friday night, January 18, 2008, at her home in Darby, Montana. She was 94.
Survived By: Her daughter, Ardis (Bill) Ralston, of Darby, MT; son, Douglas (Barbara) Seeger, of Bremerton WA; eight grandchildren: Steve (Kelly) Ralston, Julie Lovig, Scott (Julie) Ralston, Jonathon (Lynda) Seeger, Anthony (Erin) Seeger, Timothy (Jennifer) Seeger, Valarie Seeger, and Drew Seeger; great-grandchildren: Jennifer (Kevin) Hunt, Shane (Kristi) Ralston, Justin Lovig, Shayla Ralston, Bret Ralston, Cody Ralston, Tawnie Seeger, Josh Seeger, Annette Seeger, Jeremy Seeger, Jimmy Seeger, Seth Seeger, Tyler Seeger, Evelynn Seeger, and Olivia Seeger; great-great-grandchildren: Cody Hunt, Kammi Hunt, and Kasual. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Goddard; and sister, Virginia Chittum.
