Helen was the daughter of Charles Asa Reynard and Lillie Ellen Smith Fell. She married Samuel Orville Carter June 22, 1924 in Minneapolis, Ottawa County, Kansas. She was the mother of Charles Duane and Virginia Nadine Carter.

WICHITA--Helen M. Carter, 76, Wichita, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at her home in Wichita.
Mrs. Carter was born March 12, 1909, in Jamestown. She was a homemaker and former co-owner of the Solomon Tribune. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had worked at the former Schilling Air Force Base, Salina.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel of the home; a daughter, Virginia Brubaker of Wichita; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Carlson Funeral Home, Solomon, the Rev. Charles Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Wichita.
Visitation is Friday and until service Saturday at the funeral home.
