My grand daddy George was a wonderful man and a hard worker. He farmed hard and long to provide for his children. Granddaddy was an artist as well. He could draw the most magnificent houses. He could play a guitar too in his younger years

He was a kind quiet man. He was frail in his latest years. I can still remember him walking around in his yellow jacket with his blue suitcase....always ready to go.

I cannot help byt cry when I think of him because I was always kind of scared around him. Not scared of him but maybe scared for him. At the time, I did not understand anything about dementia but looking back I believed he did suffer from dementia and I hate myself for not putting my arms around him more when I seen him. I was a kid and I just didnt understand.

Grandaddy we will meet again and my arms and my heart will be open to you. I only recently learned of your harships through life and I now realize just how strong you were.
Love you!!!
