Mrs. John Goddard, 62, who came to Texas at the age of three months with her parents, had spent practically her entire life in this section, died Tuesday at 5 am at her home near Pendleton.

Mrs. Goddard was born in Monticello, Kentucky, February 25, 1877, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Garth, and the granddaughter of Rhodes R. Garth, first county attorney of Wayne County, Ky. and Find A Grave Memorial # 81130493. She belonged to the Church of Christ and the Central Texas Pioneer's Club.

Surviving are her husband, one son, R.R. Weatherford; a brother, Sam Garth Sr., all of Temple; three sisters, Mrs. H.S. Miller of Big Springs, Mrs. John Spires of Portales, N.M., Mrs. C.H. Murrey of Dallas; two nieces, Mrs. R.D. McLane of Waco and Mrs. T.B. Barton of New York; four nephews, Jack Harris, Edward Harris, Claude Harris of Waco and Sam Garth, Jr. of Temple.

The funeral will be held at the Pendleton Methodist church Wednesday
at 2:30 p. m. with Rev. David Irvin and Rev. Raymond Morgan conducting. Burial will be in the Pendleton cemetery.
