WATERBURY — Mrs. Eleanor R. (Tedesco) Lovallo, age 83, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 1, 2010. She was the loving wife of the late Salvatore J. Lovallo.

Mrs. Lovallo was born on Nov. 9, 1926, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Lewis and Josephine (D'Adario) Tedesco. Eleanor was a graduate of Crosby High School Class of 1944. She attended Leslie College in Cambridge, Mass., and earned an associate's degree from Post College. She worked for the City of Waterbury as a school administrator for over 40 years.

Eleanor was a lifelong Waterbury resident and was very close to her friends, with whom she had lifelong friendships. She lived for her family and was an amazing mother and grandmother.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, David Nichols of Plymouth, Robert Nichols of New Fairfield, William Nichols of Goshen and Stephen Lovallo of Waterbury, as well as six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Nichols.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. There are no calling hours. Maiorano Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
