ANDERSON, Homer M. 85, of Dayton, passed away Monday June 28, 2010. He was born in Jackson County, Tennessee on July 18, 1924 to Frank & Sally (Carlile) Anderson. Homer proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, aboard the USS Piedmont in the South Pacific. He was a retired landscape supervisor, having worked for Siebenthalers for more than 40 years. Preceded in death by his parents along with 3 sisters and a brother. Survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Olene (Upchurch) Anderson; daughter, Charlene Stonerock; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Jack Anderson, Jim & Susan Anderson, Dan & Susie Anderson; 4 granddaughters & 6 great grandchildren; sister & brother-in-law, Ova & James Lee; brother & sister-in-law, Louis & Stella Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Mr. Terry Townsend, Minister, officiating.
