Services for Samuel Mathew Alford, 92, of Rt. 1 in Gilmer will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Welch Funeral Home Chapel....

Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Alford died Friday at a Tyler [Smith Co.] hospital. A lifelong resident of East Texas, he was a [illegible] member of the Clarksville Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Russell of White Oak and Hilton of Gilmer; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Fenton of Kountze, Mrs. Gladys Willtrout and Mrs. Etta Hill, both of White Oak; a brother, Marvin of Gilmer; a sister, Mrs. Annie Jones of Kilgore; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
