Heart Not So Weak, Man Shows as Train Hurls Him 30 Feet.
"Traverse City: April 23,1929 Charles Denstaedt, 69 years old and Traverse Couny farmer, has been under a physician's care for heart trouble, but when neighbors pulled him from the wreckage after a freight train struck his automobile this morning he showed the toughest heart in the lot.
"Gosh, I didn't see the thing comming" he smiled when he recovered unsciousness.
He smoked his pipe and joked with the physicians who were bandaging his cuts and setting a broken leg before the ambulance arrived. His car was demolished and Denstaedt was thrown 30 feet."
Please note that the last name has two spellings: Densteadt and Denstaedt-they are one and the same family.
