Lewistown, IL - Marie M. Bennett, 73, of Lewistown and Little America passed away at 7:50 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
Marie was born February 17, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas and Edith (Theres) Redmond. She married Todd Shafer in 1955. She later married George Dwayne Bennett in 1985. He died in 1986.
She was also preceded by her parents.
Surviving is one son, Tom (Terri) Shafer; three daughters, Kathy (Jim) Bull, Shar (Ted) Neuendorf and Missy (Tim) Engel; 9 grandchildren, Clint (Lauren) Bull, Sarah Bull, Mary Bull, Sam Shafer, Eve Shafer, Hannah Neuendorf, Ben Neuendorf, Elizabeth Engel, and Tyler Engel.
Marie worked as a secretary at Lewistown Grade School.
Burial will be in Maryville Cemetery in Bryant.
