Dr. Victor Nicholas Tucci 60, of New Kensington formerly of Washington died Friday-May 21, 2010 unexpectedly at St. Margarets Hospital E.R., Pittsburgh of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 4, 1950 in Washington the son of the late Nicholas and Josephine Cornetta Tucci. Dr. Tucci was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Cushing Academy in Connecticut, undergraduate work with a BA Degree from Duquesne University, a Masters of Educational Psychology from Duquesne University, a Medical degree from the University Of North Eastern School Of Medicine, Tampico, Mexico and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Victor had a sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He was an avid sports fan especially with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was not unusual for Victor to have his Christmas tree decorated with the Pittsburgh Steelers or sports decorations. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Church Hill Country Club. Victor loved his family and had a strong sense of giving. He was a very generous person, had many friends, made friends easily and was especially proud of his Italian heritage. His three dogs; Champagne, Brandi and Asti were certainly on the top of his list as being his best friends. He loved them dearly. Victor was a past member of the Washington Elks Lodge #776, a member of the SMC Business Councils of Allegheny County and was on the Board of Directors. Victor was the President and CEO of the Three Rivers Health and Safety, Inc. The company, founded by Dr. Tucci in 1986, provided education to the public, small businesses, industrial, and health care facilities on a variety of topics related to maintaining a healthy work force. He was a member of many business organizations. Victor was appointed Bio-Terrorism Coordinator for Allegheny County Health Department and a member of the Allegheny County Hazardous Material Silver team which is a first responder group for hazardous material incidents. Surviving are several cousins; Rita Heffron of California, Guy (Carole) Tucci of Washington, Janet Schneider of Washington, Mark (Judy) Tucci of Mt. Pleasant, and Carmene Oliver of Arizona. Friends will be received on Wednesday-May 26, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the WARCO-FALVO FUNERAL HOME, INC. Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A brief prayer service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday-May 27, 2010 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty-Four, Pa. 15330 or to the family in care of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. 336 Wilson Avenue, Washington, Pa. 15301.
