Myrtle Robinson Farnsworth, 93, died Monday, May 24, 2004, in Ely of pneumonia.
Mrs. Farnsworth was born May 11, 1911, in Spry, Utah, to Rueben and Orilla Henrie Robinson. She was the widow of Harold T. Farnsworth, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Farnsworth came to Ely in 1927. She was a beautician for 44 of the 77 years she lived in Ely, operating Myrtle's Beauty Shop. She was named Woman of the Year by the Ely Business and Professional Women in 1965. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Ely First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her daughter Ellen Evasovic McIntosh of Ely; and sons Wesley of Myrtle Creek, Ore., and Clyde of Coarsegold, Calif., as well as 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also a brother H. Otto Robinson of Salt Lake City.
Memorial services will be conducted at the Ely LDS Stake Center Saturday, May 29, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are being made by Mountain Vista Chapel of Ely.
