Joseph Dowdy Frazer, 82, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, in St. Hedwig, Texas.

He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Kenedy to James and Jennie Mae Frazer.

Following his graduation from Edison High School, he served in the U.S. Marines and graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown. He was a member of Los Angeles Heights Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Virginia T. Frazer.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Gina A. Thomas and husband Danny and Judy L. Kory and husband Phil; his son, John M. Frazer and wife Nancy; his grandchildren, Jo Dee Thomas Gregory and husband Chris, Jacob Thomas, Morgan Kory, and Connor Kory; a great-grandchild, Colton Thomas Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, in the Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio.

The funeral service was held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Glen Masters officiating.

Interment followed in Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
